The Company

In June 2018, we will make history by launching a category defining vaping device in the UK following four years of intensive development. Ayr is a vaping solution like no other. Ayr mimics the ritual of smoking whilst dispensing with the harmful aspects that come from burning tobacco and our aim is simple; we want to move as many people away from smoking cigarettes as possible. We believe that Ayr is the first vaping device that people will want to be seen with. Put simply, Ayr looks amazing. But Ayr is so much more than a beautiful object, Ayr connects with your smartphone and gives the user full control over their vaping experience. Ayr measures intake and even enables them to quit nicotine altogether through our own range of flavour formulations that we’ve developed. In short, Ayr is very special and our product team is working hard to polishing and perfect Ayr ahead of launch.

The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for career driven individuals to join a category-defining premium vape company. Headquartered in Central London (with offices in Moscow), this rapidly growing organisation is seeking dynamic business & brand development managers to join their launch team. The successful candidates will play an active role in laying the foundations for this exciting business.

Focusing initially on London’s luxury markets within on-trade / high end vape stores / influencer outlets and department stores, the Business Development Manager will work very closely with the Sales Director , UK Sales Manager and the Trade Marketing team.

The Role

  • Representing and developing a strong brand in the Vape Sector and influencer channels
  • Travelling around the UK visiting your potential clients and servicing/maintaining existing ones
  • Generating new leads in the form of stockists and retailers
  • Building high-level relationships with your clients and distributors
  • Developing and implementing mechanisms for the company to successfully hit its sales targets
  • Expanding the end-user base both on and offline
  • Reporting to company directors and presenting projections based on industry trends
  • Managing activation agency relationship
  • Managing / Supporting a calendar of activation events with key clients and customers
  • Supporting the marketing team to ensure all company efforts are aligned

Required Skills

  • Experience bringing and developing new business to high end companies / On-trade relationships or existing contacts in the sector.
  • Passion for the vape category
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • A natural business flare, willing to work from the ground up within a start-up to build a successful business
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred skills

  • Strong sales background
  • An entrepreneurial mentality and ability to wear many hats
  • On-trade / FMCG / Luxury experience
  • Confident presentation skills
